Bombers Lose on the Road

The Bombers returned to the lanes for the first time since December 15th with a GCL battle against Elder. The Bombers had previously defeated Elder during the La Salle quad and held a 1 game lead in the GCL.

Both teams struggled in game one on Westerrn Bowls new house shot. Andrew Berkemeier for the Bomebrs and CJ Herbers for the Panthers were the only 2 to roll games of 200 or more; 217 for Berkemeier and 207 for Herbers. Keegan Barbee added a 189 for the Bombers and Tyler Brown shot a 172. After one, the Bombers trailed 890 to 877.

The Bombers closed frames but couldnt match strikes with the Panthers in game 2. The Panthers put up a 977 thanks to a 246 from Ben Seger. Andrew Berkemeier rolled another 400 series with a 205 game for a 422. Brady Johnsonadded a 187 for the Bombers and Tyler Browncompleted his 341 series with a 169. Connor Cahil put up a 152 as the Bombers finished with a 884. Going to bakers, the Panthers led 1867 to 1761

In bakers, the Bombers started games 1 and 2 flat with games of 169 and 146 while Elder rolled 186 and 190. In game 3, the Bomebrs erased 63 pins by rolling a 204 to Elders 141. The Bombers could not complete the come back in game 4 shooting 206 to Elders 207. In bakers the Bombers shot 725 to Elders 724. The Bombers fall on the road 2591 to 2486.

The Bombers fall to 7 and 3 on the season and 5-1 in the GCL. Elder moves to 6-1 on the season and 5-1 in the GCL.

Upcoming Schedule:
The Bombers play host to the Fairfield Indians on the 10th of January and the Moeller Crusaders on the 12th. Then the Bombers have 3 big events in three days with the Lancer Baker Bash on the 15th, the Baker Bash in Dayton on the 16th, and then the final match up with La Salle on the 17th.

Around the GCL:
La Salle defeated Moeller 2546 to 2481 on Wednesday. The Bombers and Panthers sit atop the GCL South at 5-1 followed by La Salle at 2-4 and Moeller at 0-6.
