3 Bombers Receive All-Conference Awards
The Bowling Bombers find themselves making the GCL-South All Conference first team for the 8th season in a row and the 3rd year in a row that at least 2 have made it on the list.
Andrew Berkemeier and Aaron Bickford have been named First Team All-Conference Bowlers and Keegan Barbee has been named to Second Team All-Conference.
Andrew averaged 208 across 40 games this season compiling 8319 pins and a high game of 270. He threw a three game high series of 666 (24th in school history) in the Centerville Elks Invitational. His high series of 503 (16th in school history), came in a victory over Hamilton High School. He averaged the 4th best in the GCL this season with a 206.8 finishing all 16 GCL games and his 208 ranked 4th as well. He has the most complete games in the GCL this season, tying team-mate Keegan Barbee at 40. Andrew's 206.8 is the 20th best GCL average in school history and his 208 ranks 12th.
On the season, Aaron averaged 200.3 across 32 games for 6410 pins and a high game of 279. His high three game of the season was a 648 (42nd in school history) shot at the Blue and Gold District Preview and his 491 series (30th in school history) came in the first quad of the year when shot games of 267 and 244. He averaged 205.1 in 10 GCL games this season. His 205.1 GCL average is 25th best in school history and his 200.3 ranks 24th.
Keegan shot a 197.6 in 40 games this season with a 276 high game and 7905 pins. Keegan shot a season high 3 game series for the Bombers with a 689 (14th highest in school history) in the Elk's Invitational. His high series of 431 came in the opening week game against Sycamore in which he shot games of 233 and 198. Keegan ranked 12th in the GCL this season with a 185.5 GCL average. His 197.6 total season average currently ranks 40th in school history.
Keegan and Andrew are the only 2 GCL bowlers to appear in more than 38 regular season games this season.
