Reading’s Carpenter sets school record

We want to congratulate and recognize Ian Carpenter for setting the 2 game series school record for games tonight of 279 and and 247 for a 526 series. That is a 2 game average of 263.

Ian led all bowlers tonight as the Blue Devils defeated Mariemont 2589 to 1962. Ian had a perfect game going into the 10 frame. Boaz McKenzie added a 388 series. Ryan Dyer with a high game of 189 and Ian Stacy added a high of 178. Reese Jenkins had key strikes in the Bakers games.

Here were Ian’s thoughts on his performance tonight.

I had the front 9 the first game and tugged the ball a board left in the 10th frame. But hey, I have plenty of more opportunities. Second game had a rough start but I strung a lot of strikes to get something going finally. Overall I thought it was a very good night and i’m finally glad to say I can have the school record for series.
