Reading takes a Trip to Tennessee

The Reading High School boys bowling team drove to Knoxville, Tennessee to compete in the first ever Thanksgiving Invitational on November 26th. Other schools competing in this event were Carter High School, Greeneville High School, and perennial D1 power in Tennessee, Seiver County High School.

The Blue Devils unveiled their new tournament jerseys and stayed loose the whole day. They went toe to toe with the Big Schools and ended up loosing the tournament Championship to Seiver County by only 14 pins. They did set two school records in the effort. Most pins in a single game (1112) and two game pin total (2122)
Leading the way for the Blue Devils was Ian Stacy (459) and Dylan Smith (454). Ryan Dyer added a (414) and Reese Jenkins added a (384). Ian Carpenter had a great single game of 222. Bo McKenzie came in as a sub and threw several strikes for the team to assist in the school records. Coaches Joe Godbey and Ricky Bush believe this team may end up being the best they've ever coached. Even when we have a starter out, the next man up comes in and we don't miss a beat. Our two subs are more than capable to come in and get the job done and they have already showed that.

Readings next tournament will be at the Big Blue Challenge where they will be the only division 2 team competing. TURTLE POWER
