Team Goals
The Highlanders have set their sights high for this season. They aim to capture the school's 12th GMC title, building on a tradition of excellence that dates back to the 2004-05 season. Additionally, the team is motivated to return to Wayne's Webbs Bowl and compete for a state championship, having previously competed in the 2021-22 season.
Season Schedule and Challenges
Oak Hills faces a challenging schedule, with 16 head-to-head matches, including tough GMC opponents. They will also compete against all four Greater Catholic League (GCL) schools and take on formidable out-of-conference opponents like West Clermont and Batavia. The Highlanders will travel to eight tournaments during the season, including the Elks Invitational and the Boro Roll Off in Dayton, preparing them for post-season play.
Team Unity and Pre-Tournament Rituals
The Highlanders emphasize team bonding and unity, as they often meet up at McDonald's before heading to tournaments. This pre-tournament tradition allows them to relax, chat, and fuel up before the long days of competition.
Championship Aspirations
Oak Hills High School's bowling team is determined to capture their 12th GMC title in the school's history. Their ultimate motivation is to return to the state championship and compete for the Division 1 title, showcasing their dedication to excellence.
As the Highlanders prepare for the upcoming season, their commitment to success, unity, and a storied tradition of excellence in GMC and state championship competition shines brightly. The team, led by Coach Andrew Bridges, is ready to roll their way to another memorable season of competitive bowling.
