The Taylor girls have 2 seniors to pace the team in Gracie Doerger (155.9) and Ellie Miller (156.4) and a rising freshman in Alex McDonald.
These athletes are set to lead the team with their skills and determination.
Season Goals and Ambitions
The boys' team is determined to make a statement in the competitive CHL. On the other hand, the girls' team is hoping to secure their second league title in three years. Additionally, both teams are eyeing the coveted "Bowler of the Year" title, showcasing their ambition to stand out in the league.
Challenging Opponents
The Taylor bowling teams face some challenging opponents within the CHL, notably Reading. They will also compete against tough Division I competition from schools like Elder, St. Xavier, Seton, Mercy-McAuley, Lakota West, Harrison, and Princeton. These matchups are expected to test their skills and resilience.
Team Traditions for Luck
The girls' team has a fun tournament tradition where they all put on lucky temporary tattoos before competitions. This tradition has extended to the coach as well and has been associated with bringing luck to the team.
Bright Future and In-Team Rivalry
As the team prepares to bid farewell to some seniors from the girls' team, the future looks promising with the addition of Freshman Alex McDonald, who is the granddaughter of Stumps owner Mike McDonald. She is expected to play a significant role as the girls aim to regain the CHL title. On the boys' side, Elliot Heidkamp and Caden Bray are set to benefit from their friendly in-team rivalry as they vie for the Bowler of the Year title, which would be a significant achievement for the boys' team, the first since the 2018-2019 season.
