St. Ursula Bulldogs fight till the end against the Seton Saints
The Bulldogs opened the conference season by hosting the Seton Saints. This is probably one of the most anticipated match-ups of the season in the GGCL. SUA came out strong with games of 892 and 871 for a 2-game total of 1,763. The Seton Saints put up a 2-game total of 1,810. This made the match even more exciting going into bakers. The Bulldogs fought till the end (literally down to the last couple frames) but unfortunately were not able to come out with the win. They final score of the match was Seton- 2,460 and SUA- 2,439. The Bulldogs look forward to the conference re-match later in the season.
The JV Bulldogs came out the gate swinging and ready to take on the JV Saints. The JV Bulldogs had a 2-game total of 1,102 and the JV Saints had a 2-game total of 1,218. It was a close battle in the baker games but the JV Bulldogs were not able to come up with the win. The final score of the match was Seton- 1,467 and SUA- 1,286. The JV Bulldogs are anticipating the match up again later in the season at a chance for a victory.
The varsity Bulldogs were led by senior, Payton Beard with a 2-game total of 413. The JV Bulldogs were led by sophomore, Layla Walton with a 2-game total of 271. The Bulldogs will be back on the lanes Thursday, November 3oth at Stumps against the Mercy McAuley Wolves.
