Bowling Bombers Fall at Home

The Bowling Bombers returned home to Western Bowl to roll against the Mason Comets on Wednesday, November 6th.  The Bombers have battled Mason and won 4 of the last 10 match-ups.  The Bombers enter with a record of 3 and 1 and the Comets enter 1 and 1. 

 

In game one, the Bombers opened with strong games from Andrew Berkemeir (223), Tyler Brown (210), and Aaron Bickford (202).  Keegan Barbee threw a 186 and Brady Johnson shot a 178.  A pair of 230s for Mason kept them in the game as the Bombers led 999 to 997. 

 

In game two, the Comets saw three games of 215 or higher for a 1057.  Andrew Berkemeier and Dimitri Panagis rolled dueling 220s to start the Bombers in game two.  Brock Lusby and Connor Cahill helped the Bombers with a 199 and 181.  The Bombers threw a 978.  Going to bakers the Bombers trailed 2054 to 1977.  

 

In bakers, the Bombers pushed for another 200 average and to cut the lead to the Comets.  Games of 203 and 204 to the Comets games of 223 and 145 allowed the Bombers to cut the lead to 38 pins.  In baker game 3 however, the Bombers stumbled rolling a 159 to the Comets 188 pushing the deficit back to 67.  In game four, the Comets rolled a 217 to the Bombers 225.  

 

The Bombers fall to 3 and 2 on the season with a 2827 to 2768 defeat.  

 

Bomber Strength:

On the season, Brady Johnson and Tyler Brownhave been models of consistency in bakers.  Brady is closing 89.3% of his baker frames while Tyler closes 88.9% of all frames.  

 

Record Performances

Keegan Barbee has crossed the 10,000 pin mark for his career with the Bombers.  Heading into this season only 34 Bombers have ever crossed the 10,000 pin marker.    

 

Upcoming Schedule:

The Bombers have their second GCL Match-Up of the year with Moeller on the 7th.  The Bombers then finish December with the Holiday Classic on the 10th, GCL rival Elder on the 12th, and end the first half with the GCL Quad on the 14th.
